The highest quality materials and most ridged manufacturing standards combine to produce excellence on ice.

Record blades, unmistakable by its unique 'Open Tube' finish, features:

- Reynolds 853 seamless air-hardening heat-treated tubing, maintaining the bend longer
- Gas shielded metal arc brazing that ensures a lifetime blade-to-runner fixation
- PM-grade bimetal runner for the best glide properties and sharpest blade possible
- 7075-grade aluminium clap system fitted with 688 TwinCam® ILQ cartridge bearings: lightweight, strong and durable
- Oversized linear springs to increase performance lifetime

The 853 tube is heat-treated to give high strength and damage resistance, and the steel properties allow thin walls to be used, so that lower weight but fatigue-resistant structures can be made. Combined with the PM-grade bimetal runner this blade is up to 3x stronger than Viking or Maple, with the same flex range.

  • Marchese Record 853
    Review by Jan Korenbergon 11/6/2014
    Review by Arnt Jalvinghon 11/4/2014

  • Marchese Record 853 Blades
    Review by Barry Spaanon 2/22/2014
Great sprint blades! If you want precise feel from your blades, these are the ones you've been looking for. After racing on the Record 525 blades for one year. I was really curious how these new blades would behave. In comparision with the 525 blades, the 853's steer a little less and provide more control on the straights. The corners are great on both. If you're a sprinter or middle distance skater I would recommend the 853 blades. If you want a little more steering on the straightaways, whtich is great on longer distances, I would recommend the 525 blades.

    Review by Tjerk Bakkeron 11/17/2013
The Record 853 blades perform fantastic! Even better than the Record 953 I rode before.
In the straights the blades provide great stability and still give the possibility to make adjusments, where the record 953 will force you more to place your blade exactly right. This gives me a lot of control and a better feeling with the ice. The blades are also faster in the first meters at the start.
In the corners the blades can handle an incredible amount of pressure. This gives a lot of control and increases the speed.
For sure the best blades I have ever ridden on! And I like the new feature: the damper. It reduces the sound of the clap mechanism to a normal level.
