It's pretty obvious that people of large build wont be using the same wheels as the average build people. Indeed the bigger you are the more you need grip because the centrifugal force drags you to the outside when entering a corner. Thus the bigger you are the more the centrifugal force affects you and so the more you need grip to pop of the corner and generate more speed.

3 years ago we introduced the Marchese Record clap blade. A revolutionairy ice blade, immediately and succesfully used by Bob de Jong, who took an Olympic medal on them one year later. Soon after, skaters from all over began winning their first World Cup and World championship victories on Records. Typical mount spacing for inline boots is 195mm and does not match with the shorter mounting for clap ice blades. Inline boots have the front mounting point to much forward, right under the toes, whereas ice speedskating boots have their front mount about 35mm backward at the metatarsals (probably a more efficient position in terms of biomechanics)

The performance and results of MTECH wheels spoke for themselves. The World asked 'What are the wheels?' when Luca Presti on 5x84mm won the World Title in the 300m time trial in Italy, 2004 when few others could get grip on the Vesmaco surface. The answer was MTECH. Presti skated on the 84mm version of the Black Track, and skated the L'Aquila track like few others could.
