2006 Gold, Silver & Bronze medallist Chad Hedrick has started to hit Olympic form this season, out-duelling Shani Davis when paired together for the 5000-meters. Unlike Hedrick who has kept a low profile on the results table in the past year, Davis starred last season as he won nearly every 1,000- and 1,500-meter World Cup race. Davis won the 1,000 Friday and set a track record of his own Saturday in the 1,500, a race in which Hedrick finished third.

Trevor put his name over Derek Parra's - and installed himself alongside Hedrick & Davis - at the Pettit Center following the 2007 Junior Worlds

Hedrick's return to form in his Olympic Gold event saw him win in 6:16.23, over Davis' 6:19.66. Chad's time knocks a full 8 seconds off the 6:24 track record he set at the Pettit Center, Wisconsin, in October of 2005 on his way to the Torino Games Gold. Third was Trevor Marsicano in 6:30.93 ahead of Ryan Bedford, Brian Hansen and Jonathan Kuck. Marsicano has spent time testing the prototype Marchese Clap blade in the pre-season and continues to go from strength to strength since winning the 3000m at the 2007 World Junior All-around Championships in Innsbruck.

US Speedskating announced the Fall World Cup Teams following the meet, who will head off to the first World Cup in Berlin, Germany from November 7-9, to Heerenveen, Netherlands from November 14-16 and then to Moscow from November 22-23.
